Former student and New York Times bestselling author Marisa Silver has a new book out! Little Nothing is the story of Pavla, a child scorned for her physical deformity, whose passion and salvation lie in her otherworldly ability to transform herself and the world around her. Not only is Little Nothing a Huffington Post Book Club Suggestion, it’s also an O: The Oprah Magazine Fall Pick, LitHub “Book You Should Read This September,” and One of The Millions‘ “Most Anticipated” for 2016. Of her experience with the Writers’ Program, Marisa says, “The first creative writing class I ever took in my life was taught by Lou Mathews at the Writers’ Program. I had no idea what to expect, but Lou’s generosity, enthusiasm and his seriousness of purpose were infectious and helped convince me that a writing life was the one for me.”

Congratulations, Marisa!
