Former student Veronica Chiossi was recently accepted in the MFA program at NYU! During her time at the Writers’ Program, Veronica worked closely with Suzanne Lummis to develop the basis of her future submission pieces. Veronica said, “In Fall 2015, I took a class with Suzanne. She taught me how to trust my voice and build it with work and revision, making it pure and distant from poetic clichés. After all, the work of a good poet is similar to the work of an alchemist. I loved taking the class and Suzanne’s charismatic, fun, and unconventional style.”

Congratulations on your acceptance, Veronica! If you have a success story, we want to hear about it! Write to writers@uclaextension.edu.
