Instructor Statement:

Writing has literally saved my life but whether it’s your passion or just an interest, I know that it can enhance your life in a profound way. Teaching is also deeply satisfying for me. It is inspiring to help people find their story and learn ways to tell it more effectively. I truly believe that everyone has a story to tell and that those with a burning desire to tell it and dedication to that desire can be successful. In my class you will feel deeply supported but also challenged and encouraged to grow. I foster a nurturing environment where students are free to share their ideas, develop their work and learn through discussion, through writing book reports on published novels and by reading and critiquing each other’s manuscripts. In my class we will complete sections of our novels, learn a little more about ourselves and each other and become energized by the joy of the creative process.
