Former lawyer turned filmmaker Timothy Chey recently released his fourth & latest film The Genius Club.

After practicing law for two years and “hating every minute of it,” Chey enrolled in courses at UCLA Extension, both in the Writers’ Program and Entertainment Studies and Performing Arts. He concentrated his studies in screenwriting, pre-production, post production and directing courses.

Chey describes his coursework at UCLA Extension as “a breath of fresh air” which prepared him for the real world of movie making.

The Genius Club is about a seemingly unlikely group of geniuses who must work together to save the world from a deadly bomb in the course of one night.
