Writers’ Program instructor Xu Xi was placed on the short list for the 2007 Man Asian Literary Prize for her novel Habit of a Foreign Sky. The goal of the prize is unique: to get attention for Asian authors whose work has yet to be translated into English. With the recent attention the novel has received, we hope to see it in print soon.

Xi is the author/editor of eight books, including The Unwalled City, and is set to teach the online course Global Narratives this spring.

Congratulations Xu!

If you have a success story, we want to hear about it! Write to writers@uclaextension.edu.
