Elizabeth Kuelbs, who has taken many Writers’ Program courses including The Art of the Short Story, Creative Writing: Poetry, and Novel Writing, just had her flash fiction piece “Tender Thirst” published in the Winter 2009 (Issue 33) edition of Vestal Review.

Elizabeth wrote the story in Dave Borofka’s Flash Fiction course last fall, and credits her instructors with creating a fertile writing environment. “Since my first Writers’ Program class in 2005, I’ve had the great pleasure of studying with instructors who are not only master writers, but also dedicated teachers who care about students’ success beyond the classroom. Thanks to phenomenal instructors like David Borofka and Alyx Dellamonica, I’ve improved my writing, become part of an amazing creative community, found wonderful critique partners, and published a few pieces. For me, a priceless experience!”
