It’s pilot season and actor Mitch Gold and his wife, UCLA professor June, are feeling the strain. Will their marriage survive Mitch’s obsessive quest to get on the fall TV schedule? How does a regular person decide between husband and lover, family and fantasy?

This is the tagline for Beverly Hills Adjacent, the new novel by student Jessica Hendra, co-written with Jennifer Steinhauer, which will be published by St. Martin’s Press in May. Jessica is also the author of How to Cook Your Daughter: A Memoir (2005) and has taken classes with Samantha Dunn and Steven Wolfson.

“At each of the three classes I have taken with the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, I was incredibly impressed by the quality of the instructors, and also by the work of my fellow students. Whether you are a beginner or a published author you will be inspired at the Writers’ Program.”

Congratulations Jennifer, we look forward to reading it!
