Linda Palmer and Claire Carmichael, who have collectively taught more than 100 courses for the Writers’ Program over the past 16 years, both have stories in the recent anthology Murder Past, Murder Present (Twilight Times Book, September 2009), a collection of mystery stories by members of the American Crime Writers’ League.

Linda’s story “Mr. Wonderful,” written under the pen name Melinda Wells, follows the emails between two friends, one of whom goes missing after she meets “the most wonderful man in the world.” Claire’s comedic story, “Zena Bennett and the Angel of Death” (written under the pen name Claire McNab), follows private eye Zena as she tries to solve the 15 year old death of Enid Barticle, famous in craft circles for her invention of the patriotic AmeriAngel doll.

Congratulations Linda and Claire, we look forward to reading your new work!
