Caroline Arnold, who teaches writing for the youth market, just published a new book, Global Warming and the Dinosaurs: Fossil Discoveries at the Poles (Clarion Books, 2009). In this book for children 8+, Caroline teaches kids about the dinosaurs that thrived in Earth’s polar regions. How did polar dinosaurs cope with three months of total darkness in winter? What did they eat? How cold was it? Caroline explores these questions to help readers understand what a warmer Earth was like long ago.

“In my more than twenty years of teaching at UCLA Extension I am continually impressed with the good ideas that students bring to class, which, in many cases, lead to publication.”
Congratulations Caroline. Your work is an inspiration to your students!
