Annabel Osborne, who has taken courses in the Introduction to Screenwriting (now Writing the First Screenplay) sequence and Street Smarts for Screenwriters, recently won First Prize, Best Short Comedy at the 2010 Rhode Island International Film Festival for “Mama Always Told Him.” The film, based on a true story, revolves around George, a man who suffers from “love at first sight.” Annabel’s film has also screened at several other film festivals.

“The UCLA Extension Writers’ Program is my definition of creative heaven. The teachers are so inspiring and being surrounded by other writers who are so passionate about their projects, and serious about their goals, is just brilliant. It provides support, guidance and fresh insight, so that as a writer, you no longer feel alone on your creative journey. I thoroughly recommend taking some courses!”
