Online instructor Gordon Grice’s book, The Book of Deadly Animals (Viking/Penguin), was recently released in the UK and will be released in the US on January 31st. In Gordon’s signature dark comic style, the book gives readers a fascinating look into the world of animals, chock full of facts and photos about the Earth’s great predators and amazing stories of their human encounters. Gordon mentions, “These new editions feature dozens of antique photos from my archival research, many of them unpublished in over a century, plus dozens of brand new photos.” David Sedaris called the book, “A must for everyone even remotely thinking of getting a monkey, a sea lion, or, heaven forbid, a dog.” The book was also recently covered in The Times of London.

Gordon’s advice for aspiring writers? “Be unique. Lots of people can write decent books. Be the best writer on your subject.”

Congratulations, Gordon; we’re excited to read it!
