Online poetry instructor Anna Maria Hong recently published several poems including “Winter Wide” and “Doubles – Plainest Hymn” in the latest issue of Green Mountains Review.
When Anna Maria was asked what advice she has for poetry students who are also trying to get their work noticed, she shared this:
“Send to journals that you personally like and admire and don’t be discouraged if your work isn’t accepted the first time around. Every journal receives an enormous number of submissions, so keep trying and if you get an encouraging note from an editor, definitely follow-up with another submission when the publication is open for submissions again.”
Thanks for the insight, Anna Maria, and congratulations on your latest publication!
