Online fiction writing instructor Beth Ann Bauman’s latest YA novel, Jersey Angel, was recently released. The New York Times Book Review said this about the book: “An intimate coming-of-age story…. creates a delicate and very real story about the way a teenage girl grows up… It’s refreshing to read about an adolescent girl who follows her hormonal urges without a fate worthy of an after-school special… It is clear that with Bauman—whether she’s Judy Blume’s successor or not—the genre is in good hands.”

Beth shared this favorite piece of advice with aspiring novelists: “Pretend that no one will ever read what you’re writing. This frees you up to take risks. You want to write from your gut, from a deep truth.”

Congratulations, Beth—we’re excited to read it!
