Writers’ Program student and novelist Kerry Fisher recently landed an agent–Teresa Chris of the Teresa Chris Literary Agency–who is working with Kerry to get one of her novels (which she started in Jessica Barksdale Inclans online class) published.

“I took my first course in the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program in 2007. I took eight online writing courses on and off over the next four years (with Jessica, Lynn Hightower and Robert Eversz), writing three novels in that time. I am absolutely certain that without the Writers’ Program, I would never have completed a novel, let alone found an agent. If I had to pick one fabulous piece of advice from all the wonderful nuggets I carry around with me, it would be Lynn Hightower’s ‘This is fiction – we can skip the boring bits.’ Brilliant!”

Congratulations, Kerry! You can read more about Kerry’s writing adventures on her blog.
