Novelist Ana Reyes has been accepted to the MFA program at Louisiana State University. Ana applied using a novel excerpt that she wrote in Mark Sarvas’s workshop.
“I’m very thankful to Mark for his support and feedback on some of my earliest pages,” she explains. “Two years later, I still think back to his wonderfully dynamic dissection of a scene in The Great Gatsby involving a closet full of shirts. At one point he advised writing 500 words every day, and I’ve been following this advice ever since.”
Clearly, his advice is working. Congratulations, Ana!
