Writers’ Program student Santa Sierra, who is repped by agent Bryan Brucks and was included in The Tracking Board’s 2013 “Top 100 Writers on the Verge,” has been hired to write Chico Grande for Amazon Studios. The film is about a young boy in 1960s rural Mexico who is obsessed with the Lone Ranger.

Santa credits the Writers’ Program with helping her find a community of like-minded people. “The UCLA Extension Writers’ Program helped me to write stories with more efficiency, but most important were the friendships I made there.”

Congratulations, Santa!
