Revered Los Angeles poet and Writers’ Program instructor of two decades, Suzanne Lummis has just published her poem “How I Didn’t Get Myself to a Nunnery” in The New Yorker! In addition, Poets & Writers recently featured the video of her reading her hilarious poem “Ways to Make Money” at the Publication Party this summer. If that isn’t impressive enough, Suzanne was also the recipient of the 2013 Blue Lynx Poetry Prize, is co-editor of the Pacific Coast Poetry Series, and is editor of the forthcoming anthology Wide Awake: Poets of Los Angeles and Beyond. We are so proud of her!

Suzanne will be teaching the UC-transferrable Creative Writing: Poetry next spring, April 1-June 17, at our Downtown LA location (261 S. Figueroa Street). If you would like more information about the course, or to be notified when registration opens, please contact writers@uclaextension.edu.
