Chelsey Drysdale’s essay, “It’s Still Me,” which she workshopped in Shawna Kenney’s Writing the Personal Essay, was published in the summer issue of Black Fox Literary Magazine. But the road to publication was not easy. “After countless revisions and 21 rejections, I finally received a message that said, ‘We love it,’” says Chelsey. “I can’t tell you how elated I am after all this work.” What did Chelsey have to say about Shawna, who helped her edit the essay collection? “I couldn’t have done it without her.”
