Former student Christopher D. LeGras, who we’ve featured before here, has published his first novel, Weather to Fly. Forthcoming in January from Rare Bird Books, Weather is the story of a group of aviators connected by the airplanes they fly.

“The UCLA Extension Writers’ Program not only helped me refine my skills and habits,” says Chris, “but also provided a crucial gateway to the L.A. publishing community. I met the majority of my closest collaborators and most trusted readers through classes with outstanding instructors like Lou Mathews and Linzi Glass.”

Congratulations, Chris!
