Helen Evans has published her original Native American folktale “The Rodadora” in the August 2015 edition of Gingerbread House Literary Magazine. As Helen describes, “The Rodadora” tells the story of Roberto, “a young boy who assumes responsibility for his village against overwhelming odds.” She wrote the story in honor of her father “who encouraged me to see everything as a potential story.”

Helen wrote the story in Wendy Oleson’s online Creative Writing: Short Story course, and says that “through Wendy’s insightful instructions, comments, and encouragement, I received the tools I needed to be published. Thank you, Wendy!”

Congratulations, Helen!
