2014-15 Scholarship Recipient Ha Kiet Chau had an extremely prolific 2015, and isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Last winter, her poem “100 Degrees Heat,” which she wrote in Laurel Ann Bogen’s Creative Writing: Poetry, was published in The Riding Light Review. Since then, she has published her poetry in Toad Suck Review (Jan 2015); The Lincoln Underground Literary Magazine (Winter 2015); Reunion: The Dallas Review (Vol. 5); Clarion (Spring/Summer 2015); The Literary Nest (Summer 2015); Tule Review (Fall 2015); and Up the Staircase Quarterly (February 2016). Another poem she wrote in Laurel’s class will be published in Duende in the fall.

“I have never met a teacher so unique and wonderful as Laurel Ann Bogen,” Ha says. “I learned so much in her poetry class—she inspires and encourages me to keep writing all the time.”

Congratulations, Ha!
