• 1 amazing professional writing instructor
  • 15 highly motivated students
  • 4 days of focus on your writing craft

Welcome to the UCLA Extension Writers Studio.

Held from February 9-12, 2017 at the 1010 Westwood Center near UCLA, the Writers Studio is four full days carefully designed to elevate your writing to a whole new level. Choose one workshop out of ten, and you and no more than 14 other students will work closely with a writing professional who will guide you through lectures, discussions, and writing exercises to help shape your work and make it the best it can be.

Imagine having uninterrupted writing time—without work, chores, loved ones or pets vying for your attention. In just four days, you’ll make real progress on the novel, memoir, TV pilot or feature film script you’ve been working on for years, and you’ll go home with the tools you need to keep the momentum going.

Select one of the 10 workshops listed below, based on your writing goals and interests. Soon thereafter, you’ll receive the course syllabus and a welcome letter from your instructor, so you can hit the ground running on Day One of the Studio.
