The Writers’ Program staff is officially back in the office – with time to spare before the start of winter quarter on January 9. Have you registered for a course yet? If not, there’s still time, but hurry because courses are filling up quickly, and honestly, it’s the best thing you can do for your writing. Not only will you get valuable feedback from a professional writer and a classroom full of peers who are as passionate about writing as you are, but you’re guaranteed to generate pages. Why not stop thinking about writing that screenplay or essay or novel and take the first step toward getting it done? Sign up now and meet your writing goals for 2017!

Feeling intimidated? Don’t be. The Writers’ Program has a course for writers of every level, from beginner to advanced, so you’ll be learning alongside students who are working at the same level as you.

Don’t know what course to take? That’s okay too. Our advisors will help you find just the right class to explore your options, whether you’re interested in novel writing, short fiction, memoir, personal essay, poetry, or feature film and television writing. And best of all, there’s no application process. The UCLA Extension Writers’ Program is open to anyone age 18 or older.

Call a Writers’ Program advisor today to find out which courses are still open for enrollment, and don’t forget to ask about the February Writers Studio where students spend four fabulous days dedicated solely to their writing. You can view our full winter catalog here.

Take that first step toward getting it written. A year from now, you’ll be overjoyed that you started today!
