Former student Sarah Lariviere has a new novel coming in January 2021, but it’s already getting good buzz, making Kirkus Reviews’ “10 Outstanding Fall Titles for Teens.”
Of her novel writing experience, Sarah says, “My first novel, The Bad Kid (Simon & Schuster), was a finalist for the 2017 Edgar Award in the Juvenile category. As a writer, I’m largely self-taught; my background is in social work. But when I was grappling with a new project, I took a risk and joined Novel IV with Robert Eversz. I’m so glad I did. Robert’s insights helped me think critically about structure, and a fellow student from the workshop has become one of my closest friends.”
