Former student Ruth LeFaive is having a string of successes with her work. Ruth says, “One of my stories was recently a winner of the CRAFT 2020 Flash Fiction Contest and will be published at CRAFT this coming April. This winter my work also placed 2nd in Fractured Lit’s Micro Fiction Prize; that piece will also be published in April.”

Of her experience in the Writers’ Program she says, “I’ve taken several workshops with Colette Sartor and Lou Mathews. Their expertise, encouragement and generosity had a profound impact on my approach to storytelling. Their guidance prompted me to enter a writing community I treasure, one that has continued to sustain my artistic practices.”
