Former student and Phyllis Gebauer Scholarship awardee Ha Kiet Chau’s debut poetry collection, Eleven Miles to June, was published earlier this month. Some of this work was developed during a poetry class in the Writers’ Program.

Of her experience in the Writers’ Program, Ha says, “I was enrolled in Laurel Bogen’s poetry course. Many of my poems in the book were first inspired and written in her class. It was an honor to work with Laurel and to share my poetry and ideas with my classmates. Over the years, I kept in touch with Laurel and she has always encouraged me to keep writing.”

Congratulations, Ha! If you have a success story, we want to hear about it! Click here.
