Instructor Tom Pinchuk recently developed a graphic novel. He says of the process, “I’ve created an original graphic novel, Remember Andy Xenon?, at the new comics outfit, Zoop. It follows a kid superhero who suddenly lost his powers at 18 and had to learn how to just be a normal guy. Recounting his old life in a soul-searching interview, a now-adult Andy reflects on misspent youth… and how sometimes the end is only just the beginning.”

Of his experience teaching in the Writers’ Program, Tom says, “Learning a process is about understanding it at every stage and from every angle. As students learn in my courses at UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, I keep learning from them, in turn. Articulating storytelling concepts to new writers deepens my own understanding — and my own writing has benefited tremendously!”

Congratulations, Tom! If you have a success story, we want to hear about it! Click here.
