Former student Sandra Hamada is a writers’ assistant for Disney Channel’s first Latinx superhero show, Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion.

Of her experience in the Writers’ Program she says, “Greg Elliot gave me a strong foundation to the fundamentals of screenwriting from beat sheets, outlines to proper formatting. Every class he gave each student meticulous notes and also broke us into our own small groups, like a mini writers room. But the best part was that Greg encouraged me to write the stories I was most passionate about. After taking his pilot class, I won 1st place in the UCLA Extension Television Writing Competition.”
