Former student Elaine Kim has gone the extra mile in her writing journey, not only writing and self-publishing her own book, but creating a book to help others self-publish. Elaine says, “For me, writing a book was just the beginning of the journey; turning that manuscript into a paperback that I could hold in my hands was so rewarding. I wrote The Book Planner: A Master Plan for Self-Publishing Your Book because I wanted other writers to feel confident that they could make a quality book, and to experience publishing as part of the creative process.”
Of her experience in the Writers’ Program, she says, “Steven Wolfson’s class Conquering Your Superstructure has had a huge impact. Half the battle of finishing a book is having a clear structure, and I’ve seen his students have breakthroughs once they worked out a roadmap.”
