Former student Stacie Hawkins recently was accepted into a writers’ lab for a script she developed in Writers’ Program courses. 
Stacie says, ” My one-hour fantasy script, Night Watchers, was selected for the 2022 Gotham TV series lab. In September, I will go to New York for Gotham Week where I will meet with industry executives in development, financing, and distribution.”
Of her experience in the Writers’ Program she says, “My first day in Zac Hug‘s spec writing class was eye-opening; I realized that I had been approaching my TV scripts all wrong. Zac not only taught us structure but also gave us tools for developing layered characters, rich dialogue, and unique plots. In Matt Witten‘s Advanced Pilot class, I learned to build worlds and find the engine that will generate stories for the life of the series.”
