Screenwriting instructor Matt Witten recently had a new novel published. Matt says, “My thriller Killer Story came out this month from Oceanview Publishing. Killer Story is inspired by all the true-crime podcasts I love listening to during my commutes to UCLA. 
It’s about an idealistic journalist who launches a true-crime podcast to investigate the murder of an alt-right YouTuber she loved like a little sister, despite their political differences.”
Of his experience teaching in the Writers’ Program he says, “I’m inspired by all the stories my students have to tell in our TV Pilot Writing workshops. So many different perspectives on life, and so much passion and creativity. I love seeing their work come to fruition and assisting them along the way, and it fuels my own desire to tell stories.”
