The Writers’ Program is still accepting applications for the 2013-2014 Master Classes in Novel Writing and Feature Film Writing. Designed for advanced students on the verge of producing professional quality work, the classes bring 8 students and a top-notch instructor together for 9 months in which you re-envision, rewrite, and polish your novel or script so that it’s in fighting shape for the market. As a bonus, at the culmination of the course, you receive feedback from a professional agent!
This year our classes are led by novelist Robert Eversz and screenwriter Steve Mazur. Both instructors have developed a special curriculum specifically for advanced students, and will work closely with you for the duration of the course.
This year we will again be offering our Master Class in Novel Writing in the popular Online/Low-Residency format. Six months into this 9-month course, you meet in Westwood for four days of workshops, seminars, guest speakers, literary field trips and a public reading at a bookstore in LA, all the while focusing on writing query letters and getting work out to agents. Our Master Class in Feature Film Writing takes place here in Westwood where you complete and polish an entire screenplay before having it reviewed by an industry professional.
