Publishing and editing are collaborative processes. Manuscripts are developed according to their assigned editors, and publishing houses build collections depending on the views of those in the room where it happens. A classroom depends on the drive of the students and the ability of the instructor to guide them towards the knowledge they seek. The process which enables students to learn is a conversation that leads to engagement with the subject matter. The conversation is a dance toward understanding, sometimes a bit of a slow dance, but together, we get there.
