Former novel writing student, Julie Buxbaum, shares some huge news—a major book publication with a major publisher—and not only that but the rights were sold for publication in 18 countries! Julie’s novel, The Opposite of Love was released in July by Dial Press.

She says, “I took a bunch of novel writing courses at UCLA Extension and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to all of my instructors. When I was in the thick of writing The Opposite of Love, though, I had the pleasure of taking Novel Writing II with Mark Haskell Smith and Seth Greenland—two of the best teachers a first time novelist could ever ask for. They were not only incredibly generous with their time, experiences, and knowledge, but even now, almost two years later, their generosity continues; I still turn to both of them for writing and career advice.”

This is wonderful news, Julie, and we look forward to your second novel!
