Marcus and Faith, a screenplay written by screenwriting student Benjamin Ray, recently won first prize in the thriller section of the 2007 Pacific Northwest Screenwriters Contest as well as representation by 928 Talent Management. Benjamin says, “I received some valuable advice from UCLA Extension [peers] now working as readers/consultants for the major studios. They had an impact on my writing. Their relentless passion is truly inspiring.”

It just goes to show that writing courses are a wonderful way to learn about your craft and form a lasting and helpful network of other writers. Congratulations on this recent success, Benjamin!
