Writers’ Program student Anna Lefler’s nonfiction book The CHICKtionary: From A-Line to Z-Snap, the Words Every Woman Should Know was recently published by Adams Media. A humorous dictionary of more than 450 words and phrases women use, both familiar (such as “uterus”) and not so familiar (such as “residual girlfriend”), it defines each from the perspective of a typical contemporary woman.
Anna says, “My experience in the Writers’ Program has been fantastic and my current experience with Lynn Hightower in the Novel Writing Mentorship Program is an absolute joy. The structure of the program is an ideal fit for me and Lynn provides savvy, professional-level instruction that is tailored to my manuscript. Working with Lynn has elevated both my craft and storytelling skills while providing a friendly and wise resource on all aspects of the novel writing and publishing process. Frankly, I’m pretty ticked off at myself for not signing up for this program sooner.”
