Jerrilyn Farmer, a seasoned mystery writer who’s teaching a course in story and plot this quarter, has an excellent track record for helping her students get published. Check out this recent run of successes by her students:

Rochelle Staab’s mystery, Bruja Brouhaha, was recently released, and Hex on the Ex is forthcoming in 2013. Rochelle studied with several Wp’ instructors but has this to say to Jerrilyn: “You helped to make my dream come true.”

Forget Me Knot, the first quilting club mystery of Mary Marks (who took Planning the Perfect Murder with Jerrilyn), will be released in 2013 by Kensington Books. Mary recently signed a three-book contract for her new Martha Rose series.

Jill Smolinski’s novel, Objects of My Affection (Touchstone), was published in May 2012 to outstanding reviews. Said Publisher’s Weekly: “Smolinski gracefully balances lighthearted humor with insightful musings…making this an entertaining and touching read.”

Jerrilyn says, “Sometimes I just have to sit back and be amazed at the rewards of teaching so many incredibly talented writers.”
