Elizabeth Ross has taken a number of Writers’ Program fiction and youth market courses over the years, and now all that hard work has paid off! Delacorte Press, a division of Random House Children’s Books, will publish her YA novel, Belle Epoque, in June 2013. Set in bohemian Paris, Belle is the story of Maude Pichon, a plain, impoverished girl who supports herself with a very unusual job: working as a secret “beauty foil” for wealthy debutantes. But when she is hired to work with privileged, spirited Isabelle, she must decide if her lucrative but degrading job is worth the cost of her deception.

Elizabeth says that “thanks to the wonderful instruction at the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program, I honed my craft, found my confidence and gained both writing mentors and critique partners.”
