In early October, the Huffington Post published student Elana Miller’s piece “Mindfulness and Psychiatry: The Next Fad or a New Revolution?,” and based on that article, asked her to be a regular columnist. An MD, Elana writes about psychiatry, psychology, spirituality, meditation, and the integration of eastern philosophy into western medicine. You can read all of her columns here.

“The course I took on short-form nonfiction was incredibly valuable. I already had some writing experience under my belt, but this class helped me not only improve my writing mechanics, but understand the nuance and strategy of how to write for publication. Norman Kolpas’ friendly workshopping format was both easy on the ego and very constructive. I definitely plan on taking another Writers’ Program course in the near future!”

Congratulations, Elana!
