Instructor Lilliam Rivera recently published her second young adult novel Dealing In Dreams. The book is set in a near-future where girl gangs rule the streets. It is a story about violence, sisterhood, and the journey to find a home.
Of her time teaching for the Writers’ program, Lilliam says, “When I first moved to Los Angeles from New York fifteen years ago, I took classes at the Writers’ Program. It was there where I took my first steps into writing fiction. I love being able to return to UCLA and help other writers.”
Congratulations, Lilliam! If you have a success story, we want to hear about it! Click here.
