Instructor Shawna Kenney just published a longform piece of reportage about co-housing and the LA housing crisis with the literary magazine Narratively. Shawna was recently named a Contributing Editor with Narratively, too, (after being a longtime contributor).
Shawna has been teaching Memoir and Personal Essay with the Writers’ Program for 12 years, where she began as a visiting author in several classes. “As both editor and instructor, it is an absolute joy and privilege for me to nudge other writers along their own paths, to help them recognize and harvest the gold from their own stories and passions. I share my triumphs, half-starts and failures in the classroom, hoping to inspire.”
Congratulations, Shawna! If you have a success story, we want to hear about it! Click here.
