Jason Tanamor
Current UCLAx Writers’ Program student Jason Tanamor’s new novel, The Legend of Sensei Tsinela, has been picked up by Ooligan Press in Portland, Oregon for a Spring 2025 release. The Filipino based YA story follows Victor Delacruz, a teenager who attempts to prove that his boss, a Filipino food cart owner, is… of all things… a superhero.
Of his time in the Writers’ Program Jason wrote. “Although I’ve been writing for 20+ years and have had previous success, I’ve never taken a formal writing course. Workshopping a work-in-progress (WIP) through the Writers’ Program has offered me the feedback and criticism I’ve never acquired. The instructors and other students provide a safe environment with our stories.”
