Writers’ Program Instructor liz gonzález recieved some exciting news in September. She was awarded a 2023 California Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship! In her own words, “This award came as a surprise, and I am humbled, honored, and immensely grateful for it.”
Regarding her time in the Writers’ Program as an instructor, liz said, “I’ve been teaching at the Writers’ Program and taking courses through the program for over 20 years. In recent years, I’ve primarily worked with beginning writers. It’s exciting to see these students’ writing evolve and strengthen over the quarter. Many come in thinking they can’t write and leave with skills that sparkle with possibility, ready to continue in their writing journey.”
