 Instructor Statement:

I believe there is a storyteller in every person. We all feel compelled at least once in our lives to pull something from our soul and write it down. By doing so, we peer through a window into the brightest and darkest corners of our mind. The more we do it, the further we delve into a limitless imagination. I share with my students my passion for writing and for film, and I impart the tools that allow them to think visually as they express themselves through the written word.

Our Students Say it Best!

“Chrys Balis is a jewel among teachers. She is one of the few who’ve entered my life over the years and changed something fundamental for me, changed the way I view my work and myself. Her notes are not only thorough, but bordering on psychic.” —Writers’ Program student
