 Instructor Statement:

Writing is a process, one that must implement both craft and creativity. With that in mind, I believe my role as instructor is twofold. First, to teach students the basic tools of craft…then, to coach their individual creativity. Whether it is writing for film or television, my classes replicate the development process used in Hollywood. All of this is accomplished in a safe, supportive, and challenging environment. Students ultimately learn how to write a professional script, how to merge into “the business,” and, best of all, how to have fun in the process.

Our Students Say it Best!

Erica is a pro and extremely disciplined, which helped me to stay focused and on track. She breaks down the elements of a screenplay into understandable pieces, and gives great constructive feedback that empowers students to move forward with confidence. Erica makes writing fun!” —Writers’ Program Student
